Parallel Kedarnath temple to be built in Hiranki- Burari will cost Rs. 10 to 12 crores to be collected through crowd funding

The budget of the Kedarnath temple being constructed near Burari Delhi is estimated at Rs. 10 to 12 crores and according to news pouring in from various sources, the expenditure to be incurred in the construction of this temple which will be almost of the same design as the original ancient Kedarnath temple is , will be collected through crowd funding.

After the protest demonstrations by the Kedarnath Temple priests in Rudraprayag n Kedarnath Dham precincts and the media highlighting the issue tremendously in Uttarakhand, especially objecting to this proposal to built a new temple in Delhi terming the original Kedarnath ancient temple as the real one and the same losing its religious credibility and sanctity after another temple being built in Delhi there is lot of criticism by opposition political parties in Uttarakhand especially by Congress leaders.

The priests in large numbers at Kedarnath Dham precincts were raising anti CM slogans n against the Delhi temple construction in Delhi shouting the slogans in Hindi : You have to come to your senses or you have to go, ( Tumhe hosh me aana hoga varna jaana hoga etc). Meanwhile Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Kedarnath Dham can’t be built anywhere except Kedarnath temple. Kedarnath Dham is only in Uttarakhand.

There is furore n uproar in political circles as the issue has taken political colour with Uttarakhand Congress outrightly criticizing the move.

It may be recalled that the foundation stone for this new temple at Burari was laid by the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami few days ago and one of the main persons behind this move/ mission is Surendra Singh Rautela of Kumaon, Uttarakhand, a businessman associated with BJP who had a decade ago contested as an independent candidate from Burari n lost badly.

Then in 2013 he had shown his wealth etc as Rs 5 lakhs.

The body that is looking after the crowd funding and the construction of the temple is known as the Kedarnath Dham, Dilli Trust whose president is Surendra Singh Rautela, the Secretary Mukesh Jain and treasurer Swati Rautela.

Rautela originally belongs to Almora, Uttarakhand and was an aspirant for BJP ticket from Salt Assembly seat as well but couldn’t succeed to fetch it.

He runs two schools with the name of DEFODIL ( flower) in Anand Parvat though some say that he is also running a security service. He is intermediate.

The temple to be built will take the time of 2.5 to three years to be built on three acres of land at Hiranki Burari. Some say that Surendra/ Jitendra Fulara is a property dealer or those connected with this project , some say he is running a private school n some say that he is the owner of the security agency. God knows.

One of the trustee is Jitendra Fulara who is a property dealer claiming that the land has been bought by Rautela n others and donated for the Temple construction in Hiranki Burari as he is a devotee of Lord Shiva.

According to Fulara there are thirty to thirty five founder members and rest are the trustees on whose shoulders the construction of the temple lies.

Speaking to UKnationnews Jitendra Fulara categorically said that this is purely a private Trust with the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami or the government or party has nothing to do with it except inaugurating it when we approached and invited Ukhand CM to do the needful.

On asking as to what was the need to construct the parallel Kedarnath temple in Delhi and why not Badrinath Temple , Fulara replied that since Harish Rawat had already inaugurated a Badrinath Temple in Mumbai when he was CM we are going for Kedarnath temple. Moreover he asked why so much fuss on our noble attempt being Sanatanies ( Hindus) when in Indore there is already a Kedarnath Temple and former UP CM AKHILESH YADAV too going for the construction of a magnificent Kedarnath temple in Saifai on 33 acres of land. He asked if they can build a Kedarnath temple in Indore and one in the offing at Saifai, Uttar Pradesh, then why can’t we build it in Delhi ?

On asking about the time period of the temple construction Jitendra Fulara said that as per the map of the temple prepared by the architect it may take 2.5 years to construct it in the war footing with funds to be collected through crowd funding from commoners and the trustees as well those associated with the Dilli Trust.

People also say that he runs two schools known as Defodil school in Anand Parvat.

What is important to note in this project is the fact that some stones ( Shilaas) are being brought from ancient Kedarnath Temple to be kept in the newly constructed temple in Hiranki Burari to which the priests of Kedarnath have strongly protested saying that if this really happens the religious credibility and sanctity of Kedarnath temple will be degraded.

Moreover, two days ago the Shankaracharya Avimukteshvaranand has strongly objected to this temple construction in Delhi saying that there is already a Gold scam taking place in Kedarnath temple which has not been resolved and now parallel temple of Kedarnathji is being constructed in Delhi whereas the fact remains that there are already 16 Jyotirlingas which have been mentioned in Shiva Puraana. Now, what is the need for this temple when we already have an ancient historic Kedarnath Dham.

Do they want to repeat what happened in Kedarnath on Gold issue asked Shankaracharya while speaking to reporters two days ago. However, the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee had outrightly denied these allegations as untrue and unfounded.

Meanwhile the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress president Karan Mahara has strongly criticised the BJP for building another Kedarnath Temple in Delhi writing on X :

BJP is playing with the faith of crores of people, a temple is being built in Delhi in the name of Kedarnath Dham of Uttarakhand, it is being said by

@pushkardhami that those who cannot go to Kedarnath will be able to get the same virtue in Delhi. This is interference with our faith, tradition and culture and it will not be tolerated at all. From July 24th, under the Kedarnath Bachao Abhiyan, the ‘Jai Gange-Jai Kedar’ padyatra will be started by taking a bath in the Ganga at Har ki Pauri. The yatra will conclude with a prayer at Shri Kedarnath Dham.

  1. It’s senless to think of constructing another Kedar Nath Temple in Delhi or elsewhere. Kedar Nath is a “Jyotirlinga” and can’t be replicated at another place. The temple has its own history that every Hindu knows, specially of Uttarakhand origin.

Constructing a Kedar Nath temple in Delhi is absolutely influenced by politics, by a bjp, displaying it’s fake narrative of their own Hindutva, which is infact demeaning the real principles of the religion and deviding the Hindus. How can a private Trust built a temple naming Kedar Nath which is a holy institution of Hindus, and how did they get such big land measuring 3 acrs in Delhi where govt don’t provide a few sq yards for common public amenities..? All sensible Uttarakhandis must come forward to stop this project which is nothing more than a political conspiracy to allure public for votes and grab the land for political activities. If you notice, only politician from bjp line were invited in it’s inauguration.
