Sounds astonishing and shocking that the United States which India considers to be its most trusted friend and which had repeatedly taken credit for the ceasefire between both the warring nations despite the hard fact that ceasefire materialised at the DGMO level between India and Pakistan and the Field Marshal and Pakistan Army chief Wasim Munir who was the main culprit in the Pahalgam terror attacks leading to twenty six brutal deaths of Indian tourists and subsequent the war between the two nations – has been invited by the US president as the chief guest on the significant US Army day on June 14, 2025.
The day since the United States president Donald Trump was considered as the personal friend of PM Narendra Modi India had high hopes from the former to treat India with immense concessions and future prospects, but unfortunately just the reverse happened. The US president today treats PAKISTAN its trusted friend on the same footing as it treats India and has now invited the biggest enemy of India Pak Army chief and Field Marshal to the US Army event as the chief guest including earlier imposing heavy tarif on Indian products exported to US.
Does it not amount to backstabbing India which holds the US president Trump in so much of high esteem always hoping for better Indo US relations at the cost of other trusted nations.
The recent incidents of the illegal and legal Indian migrants being handcuffed to the plane as hardened criminals and badly ill treated despite India requesting it not to do so and some young students thrown to ground with handcuffs with their videos going viral unambiguously exhibit the possible shift in US policy towards India, now being soft and sober towards Pakistan which is not only India’s arch rival n enemy hell bent upon destabilising India but is also the China’s traditional friend which is US’s arch rival too.
Donald Trump seems to have lost his balance of mindset and is by his anti people policies facing confrontational agitations in US as well – where in California its Governor had openly threatened Trump that California will prefer leaving the United States to annex with Mexico if Trump doesn’t change its anti immigration/ migration policy and stopp harrassing them.
Meanwhile , a top US military commander, Army Gen Michael E Kurilla, commander of US Central Command, has testified before the House Armed Services Committee in Washington DC, describing Pakistan as a “phenomenal partner” in anti-terrorism operations.
Gen Kurilla emphasised the need for the US to maintain relationships with both India and Pakistan, stating, “I do not believe it is a binary switch that we can’t have one with Pakistan if we have a relationship with India.” said top US military commander, Army general US Mr. Kurilla.
