OPPOSITION MPS PROTEST WITHIN PARLIAMENT PRECINCTS TODAY AGAINST MISUSE OF CENTRAL AGENCIES
The entire united opposition INDIA bloc today protested within the parliament precincts with lawmakers holding postcards and rasing slogans against the ruling political dispensation for misusing the CBI, ED n IT departments to harrass and victimised the opposition leaders putting them in jails to stifle their voice against dissent. The leaders protesting holding postcards read ” BHAJAPA MEIN JAO Bhrashtachar ka licence paao”, ( Go in BJP and get the license of corruption) , Respect opposition , sop intimidation, Stop Misusing Agencies to Silence the opposition and End to the reign of fear etc. The leaders n MPs of AAP, Trinamool Congress, Congress, DMK, CPI n COM etc participated in the protest demonstration. The attendance was good as almost all the MPs of both the house hailing from INDIA bloc participated in the protest. Prominent amongst those present in this protest demonstration were Rahul Gandhi, leader of opposition, Priyanka Chaturvedi, John Brittas, journalist turned MP TMC Sagarika Ghosh, Raghav Chadha, Antony, Benny Behnon, Varsha Gaikwaad, K. Suresh, Manish Tiwari, Mr.Venugopal , Sanjay Singh etc. It may be recalled that the opposition parties had been opposing the BJP led NDA government for consistently misusing the agencies and putting the opposition leaders behind bars in unsubstantiated charges. This issue was raised during the election campaigning too widely by the opposition parties tooth and nail. The Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival, former deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, former minister are in jail and Hemant Soren recently got bail while BRS leader Kavitha is also behind bars on money laundering charges.
