Prime minister Narendra Modi who is acknowledging rousing welcome by the Indian diaspora in United States of America including by the second time president Donald Trump was confronted by a trivial, rather complicated question on Adani by one of the journalists present in the joint press conference of both the heads of India and America. The intelligent and brilliant prime minister Narendra Modi on this question came out clear with immense dexterity literally shutting the mouth of the journalist posing a direct question to him as to whether he has asked the president to pursue action against an India’s wealthiest man in Asia – Gautam Adani against whom the charges of fraud and bribery are registered by the US prosecutor. Though looking little tense prime minister Narendra Modi with tremendous amount of confidence responded to this trivial question saying : First thing is that India is a republic nation. Our culture is ” The World is one Family, ( Vasudaiv Kutumbkam). We consider the entire world as our one family. I consider every Indian as my own. The second thing is that for such personal matters the chiefs/ Heads of two states neither meet each other, nor sir together and talk as well replied PM Narendra Modi with immense confidence.
The question posed by the journalist in the joint press conference was : Have you discussed and asked the US president during your interactions with him about the matter regarding the case of the wealthiest man in Asia – Gautam Adani. Have you said anything to pursue the action against him in a case filed in US ?
Meanwhile reacting to this the Congress leader and leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi wrote on X in Hindi : If you ask questions in the country, there is silence. If you ask abroad, it is a personal matter! Even in America, Modi Ji covered up Adani Ji’s corruption! When filling a friend’s pocket is “nation building” for Modiji, then taking bribes and looting the nation’s wealth becomes a “personal matter” wrote Rahul Gandhi in X.
