ON THE LEGAL NOTICE ISSUED BY UKD THE CHIEF CONSERVATOR OF FOREST DIRECTED TO INVESTIGATE THE MATTER AND SEND THE ATAR

The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has achieved success in its campaign to uproot the Indian Made Foreign Liquor shop from Khara strot, Muni ki Reti after it had served legal notice to the Commissioner of Excise Department, Uttarakhand and circulated the copies to the chief secretary, Uttarakhand, DGP and secretary, environment, principal conservator of Forests etc. on the ground that since the IMFL shop is situated on the forest land and against the forest laws , it should be abolished forthwith.
Meanwhile, the commissioner Forestry Ravinder Singh has send a letter to the Principal chief conservator of Forests, government of Uttarakhand directing to examine the said matter on extreme urgent basis and initiate appropriate action as per the provision of the extant acts, rules and regulations in force and sent to them the action taken report in this regard at the earliest with a copy sent to J.P. Badooni, UKD activist and complainant.
The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal is considering this as their first step of the victory.
It may be recalled that a handicapped young boy was murdered in front of the liquor vend few days ago after the vend was closed which badly enraged the people with UKD, Congress and Swabhiman Sena coming into picture demanding the immediate closure of the Liquor Vend from this spiritual township and also allegedly illegally installed on the forest land which is absolutely illegal.
