Omar Abdullah to be the next CM of J & K . Haryana goes to BJP for the third term
The BJP has failed majority of the opinion polls which had predicted that the Congress party is winning with a thumping majority in Haryana assembly polls though they had partially been correct in the context of Jammu & Kashmir elections where majority of them had predicted a hung assembly with PDP to play a kingmaker but at least confirmed about the saffron party’s defeat.
Till early afternoon the election results were showing the Congress crossing the majority mark securing 47 seats in Haryana but all of a sudden the BJP turned the tables leading on fifty seats leaving Congress behind by merely thirty five seats compelling the Congress and India bloc parties to bite the nail in shock.
However, the one sided victory of National Conference and Congress combine in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir has been a balancing factor proving a consolation factor for the 135 years old party who was very much and confidently optimistic of forming its government in Haryana but felt betrayed at the last moment.
According to the latest news the shock was was so adverse that the drummers from the central Congress office at 24 Akbar Road were sent back after the Haryana results arrived giving a shock to the Congress leaders who were fully prepared to celebrate the victory hands down.
In Jammu and Kashmir the National Conference- Congress alliance has comfortably crossed the majority mark securing 52 assembly seats with the saffron party ahead on 23 seats having already won on 6 seats.
In Haryana the BJP was leading in fifty seats when this news item was being written and Congress on 35 seats in 90 member assembly.
The incumbent chief minister Naib Singh Saini obviously in a jubilant mode said that this is the victory of the people of Haryana who have voted for the good work of the BJP government believing in the policies of prime minister Narendra Modi. He thanked the voters from the bottom of his heart saying that I accord full credit to Modiji . With the blessings under his guidance, the people of Haryana have put a stamp on the government’s policies said Naib Singh the incumbent Haryana CM.

Meanwhile, according to the news agency ANI Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications, Jairam Ramesh submits a memorandum to the Election Commission, requesting it to issue immediate directions to its officials to update the website “with true and accurate figures so that the false news and malicious narratives can be countered immediately” . Meanwhile reliable sources reveal that the NC leader Omar Abdullah is all set to be the next chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and it remains to be seen as to what comes out of the assurances accorded by them to the J& K electorates regarding re-implementation of article 370 to J& K and restoration of the full fledged status of statehood bringing Ladakh too into its fold.
