NSA Ajit Doval to visit Moscow for peace talks this week

After prime minister Narendra Modi’s successful visits to Russia and Ukraine meeting their head of the states Vladimir Putin and Volodymir Zelinsky and holding important talks urging them to come on a negotiating table to resolve this vexed issue, saying that no issues is ever resolved with war or confrontation but through diplomacy sitting across the table, the national security advisor Ajit Doval is heading for Russian capital Moscow this week to hold interactions with his counterpart and Putin aimed at resolving the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
The prime minister Narendra Modi took a very healthy initiative on 9 th July when he visited Moscow and met the Russian president Vladimir Putin and interacted with him on many issues with the issue of resolution of Russia Ukraine Conflict being of foremost significance.
After his hectic Russian visit meeting Vladimir Putin , Prime minister Narendra Modi flew to Kiev, Ukraine while the war was on and Russian attacks continued there. He met the Ukraine chief Volodymir Putin and emphasised on resolution of this vexed issue with Russia diplomatically sitting across the table through bilateral talks and not through war.
After meeting both, the Russian president Vladimir Putin and thereafter the Ukrainian president Volodymir Zelinsky , the prime minister Narendra Modi conversed with Putin in August 27 over phone.
According to an official statement issued by the Russian Embassy in New Delhi while conversing over phone with Mr.Putin , PM Narendra Modi acquainted him about his recent visit to Kiev and nature of his deliberations with the Ukrainian president including stressing about India’s commitment to bring about a settlement for Ukraine by political and diplomatic means sitting across the table and holding deliberations for peace and tranquility between both the conflicting nations.
Indian NSA Ajit Doval who had played a vital role in resolving the very vexed Galwan issue earlier would be playing an extremely significant role in resolving the ongoing Russia Ukraine Conflict reveal sources.
According to sources it was during this phone call that both the leaders decided that National Security Advisor would travel to Moscow for peace related deliberations between both the countries at war currently.
According to the statement the Russian president Vladimir Putin shared his principles assesment of the destructive policies of the Kiev authorities and the NATO further highlighting Russian approaches to resolving the war , the Russian embassy said in its statement.
Meanwhile according to the PMO the two leaders on phone exchanged views on the Russian Ukraine Conflict . The PM shared insights from his recent fruitful visit to Kiev, Ukraine underlining the significance of dialogue and diplomacy including sincere practical engagement between all those who really matter in order to achieve an abiding and peaceful resolution of the conflict revealed the PMO press release. The prime minister too reiterated India’s determined commitment to support and early , abiding and peaceful resolution of the conflict on his official social media handle X, earlier twitter.
It is pertinent to mention here that when prime minister Narendra Modi had visited Russia ( Moscow) in July and met the Russian president expressing India’s solidarity the Ukranian president Volodymir took this extremely seriously criticizing prime minister Modi saying that this is a devastating blow to the ongoing peace efforts watching a world leader of the largest democracy hug/ brave the most bloody criminal in Moscow in such a day. This statement of Volodymir Zelinsky has created quite an uproar in Indian political circles with opposition too criticising this gesture of PM Modi. However, when Narendra Modi visited Kiev, Ukrain and hugged Zelensky , the Ukrainian leader said that he and the prime minister Narendra Modi had paid respectful tributes to the memory of the deceased children who died brutally by Russian aggression. The children of every nation deserve to be safe and protected and it is our moral duty to ensure their safety and security said Zelensky.
