Now only Delhi woman will be allowed DTC travel. Pink Pass to be issued

Whatever concessions or freebies were given by the previous AAP government in Delhi , the Delhi BJP Government led by the chief minister Rekha Gupta are continuing them but with several regulations. For instance the free travel facility accorded to Delhi women travelling in Delhi Transport Corporation buses by the previous AAP government have now been restricted to women who have all the necessary proofs of their Delhi residence. The women from other states with no residential proof will now, not be allowed to travel free of cost in the Delhi buses. The Delhi Transport Corporation is suffering from a massive fiscal deficit of Rs. 64000 crores and according to the chief minister Delhi Rekha Gupta , by applying these regulations and limiting the Delhi bus travel to Delhi women only, a major part of the fiscal deficit will be covered. According to the latest news the Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta has announced that now, in lieu of the Pink ticket now those women travelling in Delhi DTC buses would be given a Pink Pass which will restrict outside Delhi women to travel free of cost. Those women travelling in DTC buses shall have the pink pass and this will now be mandatory for Delhi women travelling in Delhi Transport Corporation buses said the Delhi CM. This Saheli Smart Card will be fully digital which will carry the name and picture of the wimen commuter. To apply for the card , the applicants should submit the Adhar Card, Pan Card, Delhi Residential proof and passport photo including the KYC documents as asked by the banks. The AAM Admi Party has accused the Delhi BJP Government for revoking all the concessions and freebies given by the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal by making the formalities tougher regulatory. It may be recalled that in DTC the services of the buses are very poor. This writer himself had experienced during his surprise checks that in the majority of the internal , long routes the bus services have been squeezed tremendously with the drivers and conductors having their fullest say. The passengers have to wait for hours together for buses finally going either by metro hiring autos or waiting for another hour. For instance on 984 , 970 routes from Avantika Roshini to Lajpat Nagar and JLN Stadium the buses hardly come and people wait for hours together . Similarly in several internal routes buses are missing. The DTC authority officers sit in air conditioned offices and do literally no inspections of the depots or routes. The Delhi public travelling by DTC buses are fed up and suffering badly. The Transport minister of Delhi government and the DTC chairman should personally inspect every route and hold regular meetings to ensure that buses ply on every route on time to give satisfactory services to the Delhi commuters. The Delhi CM should personally supervise the DTC operations as the real voters from lower sections of the society travel by buses and are suffering badly for poor DTC services despite the best and good number of buses on its fleets.
