NOT GIVING STATEMENT INSIDE PARLIAMENT BUT SPEAKING OUT ON BREACH OF SECURITY IS AN INSULT OF PARLIAMENT SAYS MALLIKARJUN KHARGE
The suspended more than 143 members of parliament of both the houses hailing from various non BJP opposition parties under the leadership of veteran Congress leader and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge holding huge black banner mentioning SAVE DEMOCRACY marched from Parliament House to Vijay Chowk protesting against the arbitrary band unconstitutional suspension of over 143 parliamentary lawmakers of various political parties for their unruly behaviour though the opposition MPs said that their fault was that they had demanded the statement of prime minister Narendra Modi and home minister inside the house on the massive breach of security inside new parliament building. The protesting members of parliament were holding play cards with slogans like : Stop the murder of democracy, save democracy, Parliament Caged, Democracy Expelled, Lok Tantra ki Hatya Band Karo, etc. Several leaders of political parties participated in this demonstration. The leader of the protest rally and Congress chief, Rajya, Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge while speaking to the media accused the prime minister Narendra Modi and Home minister Amit Shah with due respect that they have insulted the parliament, the temple of democracy by not giving statement on the massive breach of security in parliament but have preferred talking on this issue in Banaras and outside parliament. Mallikarjun Kharge categorically said that the chief of the house also is not interested in running the Lok Sabha and, Rajya, Sabha . He while apologizing said that he is pained to hear that the chairman of the Rajya Sabha has taken the issue towards casteism, dragging Dalit word into it. He said the opposition MPs have every right to raise their voice of dissent in parliament. This is their constitutional right. If they will not air their grievances in the house and bring the the shortcomings of the government to the knowledge of the countrymen then where will they go to raise their voice asked Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge. He said today’s protest demonstration by the opposition is against the government . The government does not want this to happen, nor the heads of the house want the Parliament to run. I am sorry to say that the Chairman of Rajya Sabha brought this issue to caste. In democracy raising issues, and talking in parliament is our democratic constitutional right. Our concern was about the breach of security and we were asking the PM and HM to speak in parliament but instead of giving statement in parliament they are talking in Varanasi and Ahmadabad, radio and TV but not in parliament. This clearly amounts to the indignation of parliament said Mallikarjun Kharge. On social media platform posting his video he wrote :
Modi ji and his government do not want the House to function.
It is our right to question in a democracy. We are raising the question that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister should give a statement on the lapses in the security of the Parliament.
The House is the biggest Panchayat of this country. If you do not speak in the House, then where will you speak?
The Prime Minister and the Home Minister are talking at other places but they do not give statements in the House.
By doing this he has insulted the House.
We, the people of India need to Save Democracy.
Passing important legislations by suspending Opposition MPs is not Democracy. It is the worst kind of authoritarianism.
Our future generations will not forgive us, if we do not raise our voices against this dictatorship, NOW !
