Dhuliya expresses shock over illegal elections by fraudulent practices

The Secretary General of the Indian Federation of Working Journalists, Vipin Dhuliya, has expressed shock over the illegal election of the President by some fraudulent individuals in New Delhi yesterday.

According to the press statement of Amarendra Rai, Secretary (HQ), IFWJ and chairman of the DIsciplinary commitee,

Shri Dhuliya stated that not even the basic norms for conducting the presidential elections were observed.

Firstly, the state units did not send any list to the Secretary General for his approval, nor were any objections invited.

A copy of the electoral rolls was supposed to be submitted to the CRO (Chief Returning Officer) by the Secretary General, but this was not done.

Even the appointment of the Chief Returning Officer was not as per the constitution because the person who acted as the CRO had faced disciplinary action from the UP unit of the IFWJ.

Therefore, those responsible for holding an illegal election have committed fraud to weaken the organisation, and the Disciplinary Committee of the IFWJ will take action against these individuals said the statement.
