After giving the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party a huge rebuff in Bihar breaking alliance with the saffron party in between and forming his new government with RJD, left parties, Congress and others, the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is on the move to unify the non BJP opposition parties at the national level eyeing on 2024 general elections.

Nitish Kumar had unambiguously said that if the non BJP opposition leaders have to fight BJP strongly and decisively they should unite at all costs mentioning that he has no dreams to become the prime minister of the country. This gives a ray of hope to other contenders for the top slot from non BJP opposition parties.

As a sequel to his ongoing efforts of unification of like minded parties Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in Delhi having met the CPM leader Sitaram Yechury and CPI leader Comrade Raja at his office. Yesterday evening on Monday he also met the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and deliberated on non BJP opposition unity to credibly challenge the saffron party in 2024 general elections including generating joint movements on skyrocketing inflation, farmers issues and the deteriorating condition of the people of the lowest ebb of the society.

We discussed lots of issues on education, health, operation lotus, horse trading of MLAs in large numbers to ensure downfall of opposition duly elected governments, skyrocketing inflation, and BJP’s uncontrolled corruption tweeted Arvind Kejriwal.

Kindly recall that the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is striving hard to unify entire non BJP opposition parties with special emphasis on bringing together the old socialist leaders n workers.

Though Nitish Kumar has clearly told that he is not in the race for prime minister’s post but his main objective is to unify the scattered non opposition forces at the pan India, level so as to become a credible political alternative in 2024.

However, it remains to be seens as to what extent he proves to be successful in his, latest attempt as in the past all unification attempts have fallen down on deaf ears of opposition leaders with KCR and Mamta choosing their own path to unify opposition forces not entertaining Congress n Mayavati having already gone soft towards BJP due to various compelling reasons best known to her.

The Samjwadi Party has its separate angle keeping itself on the top in UP giving no credence to Congress n Mayavati with the later playing a suspicious role inkling towards the saffron party.

Moreover, the largest party Congress is busy in its Bharat Jodo Yatra from 7 th August n party’s election on October 19 with many of its top leaders especially Ghulam Nabi Azad leaving it and casting aspersions on Sonia and Rahul Gandhi inviting the wrath of Congress leaders.
