Navjyot Singh Sidhu resigns in haste. Sends letter to Sonia Gandhi creating quite a furore in Congress circles
In a new development in Punjab, the state president Navjyot Singh Sidhu has resigned in a haste creating another crisis especially when former Congressman chief Rahul Gandhi is reaching there to pay his tributes to great revolutionary n freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The news of the sudden resignation of Punjab president Navjyot Singh Sidhu with no rumours or idea before has created quite a sensitivity and furore in Congress circles and media. Siddhu has sent his resignation letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. The resignation also coincides with the Delhi visit of his strong opponent former CM captain Amrinder Singh who is likely to reach the national capital with news being telecast about his supposed meetings with home minister Amit Shah raising speculation of his joining BJP though according to latest news captain Amrinder Singh has not sought any appointment with the HM. The resignation letter sent to Congress president Sonia Gandhi states : Respected Madam, The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise on Punjab future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Will continue to several the Congress wrote Sidhu in his resignation letter addressed to Sonia Gandhi.
