NATIONAL JUSTICE FORUM TO FILE CURATIVE PETITION IN SUPREME COURT IN KIRAN NEGI CASE !

A newly formed National Justice Forum comprising of lawyers, social activists, journalists, writers, representatives of women organisations etc has formally decided to file a curative petition in honourable Supreme Court of India to seek justice for Kiran Negi whose three obnoxious rapists and horrendous murderers have been acquitted including quashing of several review petitions by the three judge bench of Supreme Court of India.

A deputation comprising of Sunil Negi, sr journalist and president of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum, Suresh Nautiyal, senior journalist and founder Uttarakhand Chintan, Pratap Shahi, vice president UKD and senior advocate Bir Singh Negi had two days ago met the senior and reputed criminal lawyer Mr Satish Tamta requesting him to kindly take up this case in his hands and file the curative petition in Supreme Court to seek justice for Kiran Negi. Though already tied up with number of cases senior criminal lawyer having professional experience of more than four decades Satish Tamta after hearing the case in detail and also going through a part of the apex court judgement reading the the points of Delhi Police’s patchy investigations, he finally agreed to our request to take up this matter. The senior advocate Bir Singh Negi, who was associated with the hearings while the case was in process in sessions and high court granting capital punishment to the culprits, will assist advocate Tamta to matters pertaining to completion of various legal formalities.

A meeting of National Justice Forum was organised at Press Club of India thereafter yesterday in which few committee of finance, legal aspect, social media, etc were formed to pursue the case vigorously. The president of Uttarakhand Chintan Vinod Rawat and social activist and one of the petitioners of review petition Jagdish Bhatt have committed to donate Rs 25 thousand each as a token of contribution for preliminary expenses to pursue the matter in Supreme Court. The other members agreed to donate among themselves as per their individual capacities.

The meeting was unanimous in its decision to take everyone in confidence and fight the case in Supreme Court vigorously through senior criminal lawyer Satish Tamta bringing the father of Kiran Negi to his chamber to complete all the necessary legal formalities etc. It was also decided to involve other capable young advocates if need by like Mr. Mahavir Singh Farswan as well with Satish Tamta to assist him in the future legal proceedings etc. The meeting at Press Club of India was attended by Sunil Negi, Suresh Nautiyal, Dr. Harish Lakhera, Haripal Rawat, Pratap Shahi, Bir Singh Negi, Kushal Jeena, Jagdish Bhatt, Kusum Kandwal Bhatt, Prema Dhoni, Mr. Mundepi, Vinod Rawat, Mr. Ramola, etc. While, agreeing to file the curative petition senior criminal lawyer Satish Tamta said that believe in the saying that ” DUNIYA UMEED PAR TIKI HAI”. IF WE WE A FINAL OPTION FOR FILING A CURATIVE PROVISION WHAT’S THE HARM TO PURSUE IT SAID SATISH TAMTA. He catagorically said that the law n judicial jurisprudence primarily lies on the basic premise that since justice is blind, not a single ” BEGUNAH”, SHOULD BE PUNISHED EVEN IF 99 CULPRITS, ARE SET FREE. He meant that the judiciary believes in concrete evidences than emotions.
