“Nasha Nahi, Rojgar Do” public campaign will start from Nanda Devi on 30th January

A public campaign is being started once again in Uttarakhand for the Nasha Nahi, Rojgar Do movement.

The campaign will commence on January 30 at 11:30 am from the historic courtyard of Nanda Devi on the martyrdom day of Mahatma Gandhi.

The convenor of the movement, PC Tiwari of UPP, said that the initiative for a “drug free” Uttarakhand is being started by uniting students, youth and all sections of society troubled by the growing menace of drug abuse and rampant unemployment in the state.

He has appealed to students, youth, women, social political organizations, businessmen and all government and non-government people to reach Nanda Devi courtyard on January 30 at 11:30 am.

He said that during the program, street plays on drug addiction will also be performed by the “Nirmal Darshan De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center”. This play will be performed by the youth who have come out of the addiction after getting badly trapped in it.

It should be noted that the Nasha Nahi, Rojgar Do Andolan which started in 1984 from a small village Basbhira in Chaukhutia is about to complete 41 years. On this occasion, all the social, political, cultural organizations and intellectuals of the state have together decided to launch a public campaign called Nasha Nahi, Rojgar Do in the entire state.

This movement will commence on 30 January from the historic Nanda Devi courtyard in Almora. In this sequence, programmes will be organised in Basbhira on 2 February.
