NAMES OF Dr. PRAMOD NAINWAL MLA , RANIKHET AND HIS BROTHER SATISH NAINWAL ALSO FIGURE IN THE UK HIGH COURT JUDGEMENT !
After the Uttarakhand High Court’s judgement ordering CBI probe into the long pending case regarding massive corruption in Horticulture department of Uttarakhand with its controversial director Mr. Baveja the main target, the names of BJP MLA from Ranikhet Pramod Nainwal and his brother Satish Nainwal has also appeared in the judgement. In the judgement the name of Ranikhet MLA and his brother Satish Nainwal finds a specific mention clearly stating that the said sitting MLA had issued a written communication certifying that Global Roots stocks of Apple and Kivi numbering nearly 3000 planted on his land are safe and secure and they they are of high quality.
It may be recalled that on page number 27 of the judgement it has been mentioned that the respondent No 7, i. e. The Officiating Chief Horticulture Officer, Bhimtal, District Nainital, filed by Shri Rajendra Kumar Singh and in particular, he has drawn the attention of the Court to the document filed by him at page 325 of the counter affidavit . The said document is a tabulation showing the issuance of the GLOBAL ROOTS STOCK OF THE APPLE to various farmers by the Horticulture mobile team, Betalghat during 2022, 2023. He submits that out of 3100 Clonal roots stock distributed by the said mobile team, 2402 were distributed to only one person namely Satish Nainwal who is also the brother of Dr. Pramod Nainwal the sitting MLA. He submits that it requires examination – whether such a large number of Clonal roots stocks were indeed allowed to Satish Nainwal, since Satish Nainwal and his family did not own sufficient land for planting such a large number of plants. He submits that Dr. Pramod Nainwal has also issued a communication, certifying that the Clonal Roots Stock of Apple and Kiwi, numbering three thousand ( 3000) planted on his land are safe and secure and they are of high quality etc.
Meanwhile, the counsel of the petitioner Deepak Kargeti , Vinay Kumar has catagorically said that the ruling political high ups are also allegedly involved in this impasse.
He highlighted the entire version of the chief horticulture officer , Bhimtal who submitted the affidavit in the court as mentioned in the judgement above, about alleged wrongdoing in the matter.
On the other hand replying to the charges, the Nainital lawmaker Dr. Pramod Nainwal, while safeguarding his brother Satish Nainwal clarified that as per the norms of the Horticulture department the plants were planted on his ancestral land and ninety percent of them are still growing healthily. He even challenged if anyone wants to see them they are welcome. The MLA of Ranikhet instead of getting bogged down denied about any scam saying that the allegations, are biased and wrong. He said that his efforts are for stopping the increasing exodus to cities and shall continue to do so. He challenged those against him and said that he will give them a befitting reply.
After tremendous pressure of various activists and media hype, the state government had already given orders for SIT probe but now the state high court has given the matter to CBI and the former Director Horticulture is at the center of controversy and under direct probe who has been accused for immense irregularities and corruption in the department.
