Is Muslim University tag still haunting Harish Rawat ?
Harish Rawat wants a thorough probe in various land scams during various CMs tenure whether Congress or BJP

It seems that the Muslim University tag still haunts former UK CM and CWC member Harish Rawat.
The 2027 Uttarakhand state assembly elections are fastly approaching near and the ruling saffron party seems to be on the defensive mode due to several negative developments that took place during the last eight years of its rule ranging from massive corruption, to massive UKDSSC cheating scam , to most controversial Ankita Bhandari case to several big scams to the recent seven murders that took place within the fifteen days period unambiguously showing the deteriorating law and order situation in the Himalayan state and the people worried with opposition protesting on the streets.
The Congress party which is the main opposition in Uttarakhand have been constantly protesting and gheraoing the CM and Governor’s residence eliciting tremendous response.
This is for the first time that all the factions of Congress are exhibiting their unification and all the leaders coming on one platform on the strict instructions and directives of the Central High Command.
The 135 years old party is in no mood to loose in Uttarakhand in 2027 especially when there is tremendous anti incumbency factor against the ruling political dispensation led by Pushkar Singh Dhami.
However, the former chief minister of Uttarakhand and CWC member Harish Rawat is the most active politician who at the last leg of his political career despite being a septuagenarian is in no mood to give up and clung to CM’s post in 2027, if given an opportunity.
The Muslim University tag that was labelled on him by the BJP and his immediate opponents that resulted in Congress losing in 2022 for the second time in Uttarakhand is still haunting him.
Harish Rawat always denied and rejected the charge even publicly saying that if anyone factually proves this charge against him , he will quit politics.
Referring to the Dhaulash land case the FORMER chief minister Harish Rawat has again accused BJP for again strongly lying on the Muslim University issue further adding that there have been a massive scam in the matter of changing the land use of this plot.
He catagorically wrote on X in detail on this particular issue the charge that is still haunting him, Rawat wrote : Two things have become glaringly obvious from the Dhaulash land case.
1. The BJP has been consistently lying about the Muslim university.
2.There has been a massive scam in the matter of changing the land use of this
plot. If you look at land scams over the past seven-eight years, whether they be the plot scam in Haridwar, or those in Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, or Dehradun, there have been gross iregularities and scams in the sale of all these land plots.
The full truth of any land scam has not yet come to light, But from whatever truth has emerged, the ruling party’s face appears thoroughly blackened.
Alongside these land scams, the issue of demographic change is also intertwined.
Newspapers have exhausted tons of paper and ink on these two underlying issues, and TV channels have screamed themselves hoarse.
The Chief Minister’s demographic change is also a favorite breakfast item. Why not, while we’re at it, hand over the investigation of all these cases along with this plot matter to ajudicial commission, and also entrust it with probing how much impact such haphazard land buying and selling has had on demographic change.
It is proven that such large-scale buying and selling of land cannot happen without top-level involvement, and someone told me that there are nearly 5, 000 cases related to these four districts involving purchases and sales of more than 2 acres, and now Tehri is also being included due to the enthusiasm of some people in those districts.
We know who bought it; a fog still lingers over whose tenure it was bought in.After the state’s formation, some Chief Ministers have themselves departed for heaven. Now, all the former Chief Ministers who remain are in the BJP.
I am the only one in the opposition, so whenever the Chief Minister talks about land scams and demographic change, I have to take
recourse to social media to put forth my
side somehow. I want this process to be
just, meaning a detailed account of how many such land scams and rampant land purchase cases occurred during whose tenure, and how much demographic change took place, should come before the people of the state.
In public life, it is not necessary that punishment be meted out for everything, Falling in the eyes of the people is a punishment greater than any formal penalty.
My insistence will remain: whether the Chief Minister before 2027 does it or the one after 2027, but an independent judicial commission must investigate these plots and study the adverse effects it has had on demographics, and that must be brought before the people of the state said Harish Rawat.
