Mumbai based actor Manish Upadhyay’s short film to go in International Short Films Festival

We have several theatre directors, artists, singers and actors hailing from Uttarakhand who have carved a niche for themselves by the dint of their hard work, dedication, zeal, enthusiasm and commitment in Bollywood viz Tigmanshu Dhulia, Himani Shivpuri, Hemant Pandey, Varun Badola, Brijendra Kala, Urvashi Rautela etc but there are several others who are also quite talented acting in television serials, documentaries, advertisements like Jeet Rai Singh and Manish Upadhyay n many more.

But they are seldom known due to not getting a big break in a movies though their struggle goes on with zeal and enthusiasm to find avenues for acting in Bollywood films, TV serials or in short films despite tremendous struggle.

In Bollywood big sharks gallop the budding and talented actors leaving them of nowhere despite they being highly talented and possessing a special knack to act with an outstanding calibre.

Lack of contacts, financial constraints and backing of the established producers, directors n actors n strong lobby keep such outstanding talented actors out of the scene and race, except a few lucky ones getting opportunities like Navazzudin Siddiqui, Tripathi etc but despite all these odds and challenges actors like Manish Upadhyay, originally from, Almora, Uttarakhand never lose heart and continue their incessant struggle to bag advertisement n film options even if it’s documentary or roles in TV serials Or short films.

Having acted in several TV advertisement visuals like on popular “Tabacco” Prohibition visual etc n serials like crime petrol, Akbar Birbal etc, a product of Sri Ram Centre NSD tie up theatre workshop Manish Upadhyay’ s one hour short film was shot a few days ago in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh to be sent to International Short Films festival shortly.

Directed by Dr. Jagdeesh Sachdeva, the shooting of the movie was done at Asouda Palace in Hapur in which actor Manish Upadhyay doing a lead role along with the Hapur actor Fasih Choudhary. The movie is based on communal harmony.

A documentary ( short film) earlier shot at Hapur location sent to short film festival had bagged the Oscar award.

According to Manish Upadhyay, this one hour movie would primarily disseminate the message of communal harmony and would definitely be liked n loved by film lovers.

The major part of the shooting was done in an ancient palace situated in Asauda village where the curious fans enjoyed the film shooting to the core said Manish.

He is confident that the movie will definitely bag the award in International Short film festival where it is being sent for viewing. Wishing Mumbai based originally from Almora with his, parents living at Moradabad all the very best in his future endeavours.
