Mohan Singh Bisht, the five term MLA shifted to Mustafabad and Kapil Mishra obliged from Karawal Nagar. Bisht literally wept over the injustice done
Though everyone is talking about the massive disenchantment within Congress and AAP over cutting of several tickets of their sitting lawmakers and obliging those who have joined them from other parties, the situation in Bhartiya Janata Party too is also not that satisfactory as two sitting MLAs tickets have been cut and several deserving candidates have been sidelined annoying them to the fullest resulting in furious BJP activists even staging Dharna and protesting at the gate of BJP headquarter. The case of five time state lawmaker from Karawal Nagar Mohan Singh Bisht is one such instance whose ticket was cut and the former MLA from AAP Kapil Mishra was obliged. Mohan Singh Bisht is extremely popular in Karawal Nagar which also have the sizeable population of Uttarakhandi voters including voters of other communities supporting Mohan Singh whole heartedly for his dedication and people centric attitude always ready to serve them 24X7. The BJP has shifted Mohan Singh Bisht from Karawal Nagar to Mustafabad, a constituency dominated by Muslims and Gujjar community who are the traditional voters of Congress and AAP. The AAP has already fielded a Muslim candidate from this constituency. Mohan Singh Bisht was literary in tears after learning that his ticket from Karawal Nagar has been snatched and given to Kapil Mishra, an AAP defector. He was so hurt and insulted that once he had made up his mind to contest as independent but later on being the dedicated soldier of the party accepted the Mustafabad seat though his thousands of followers from Karawal Nagar are annoyed but have also shifted their base to Mustafabad to support Mohan Singh Bisht in order to ensure his victory. However, the BJP workers are badly annoyed over the step motherly treatment meted out to Mohan Singh Bisht who has won from Karawal Nagar continuosly for the last twenty five years raising the BJP flag high but this time he was shown the ground for no fault of his by the party high command.
In another such instance from Tuglakabad hundreds of BJP and Vikram Singh Biduri’s volunteers have staged a protest demonstration at the gate of BJP office in Delhi.
They were protesting against the party high command for sidelining the mass leader Vikram Singh Biduri who is quite popular among electorates in Tuglakabad.
They were demanding change of the ticket forthwith failing which they will ensure the defeat of the BJP candidate. They raised slogans Biduri tum Sangharsh Karo Hum timhare Saath hain, demanding change of the candidate forthwith.
The senior party leaders tried to pacify them. Vikram Biduri is the relative of former MP Ramesh Biduri whose ticket has been cut this time. During the 2020 elections Vikram Singh Biduri has lost by 13000 votes.
It may be recalled that from Tuglakabad Ramesh Biduri has been given the BJP ticket.
According to reliable sources there is tremendous resentment among the SCST community leaders in BJP for not giving ticket from Madipur and Kondli reserve constituencies.
In AAM ADMI Party too about twenty sitting MLAs have been denied tickets this time and majority of them are trying to defect in BJP and Congress but except negligible few they are not being entertained. Though AAP has obliged three former MLAs in Congress tenure by giving them tickets after cutting the tickets if their sitting MLAs to kill the anti incumbency factor.
