Mohammed Deepak receives a rousing welcome accorded by Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi to visit Gym of Mohammed Deepak at Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal



The Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi will visit Kotdwar in the near future and enroll himself as the member of the Gym run by Deepak Mohammed originally Deepak Kumar who came at the rescue of a senior citizen of minority community when a group of Bajrang Dal activists thronged his shop forcing him to change the name of his Shop from Baba Uniform / Garments to some other name despite the hard fact that he is running this shop since the last thirty years.
On the invitation of the former Congress chief and LOP Rahul Gandhi , Deepak Kumar alias Mohammed Deepak met him in New Delhi. Rahul Gandhi met Deepak and his friend with enthusiasm and warmth and embraced him.
Rahul and Deepak interacted for some time and the Congress leader and LOP lauded his efforts for protecting the senior citizen from the Bajrang Dal activists and setting an outstanding example of communal harmony, amity and brotherhood.
Deepak Kumar appreciated the gesture of Rahul Gandhi, feeling extremely comfortable and enthusiastic saying that the Congress leader not only lauded him but also assured of his full support and cooperation. He said there is no need to worry. We are with you and nobody can harm me. He assured me that he will be visiting Kotdwar and his GYM shortly and shall also take the membership.
Deepak Kumar is currently in the news for saving an elderly Muslim shopkeeper. He also goes by the name Mohammad Deepak on social media. After meeting Rahul Gandhi, he stated that he has nothing to do with politics.
He met with Rahul Gandhi as well as Sonia Gandhi. She also encouraged him, saying, “You’ve done a great job. Society needs young people like you.” During his meeting with Rahul Gandhi, he was accompanied by Vijay Rawat from Kotdwar and another young man.
Rahul Gandhi shared some photos of his meeting with Deepak Kumar on his Facebook account. Sharing the photos, Rahul wrote, “Every human being is equal; this is Indianness, this is the shop of love. Meeting brother Mohammad Deepak from Uttarakhand—this kind of flame of unity and courage should burn in every Indian youth.” Rahul also shared four photos of his meeting with Deepak.
