MILK COSTLIER BY RS 2 PER LITRE WITH FULL CREAM MILK COSTING RS 63 PER LITRE

While the poor of the country is already reeling under inflation the price of milk has again been increased. According to the latest news the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation has increased the rate of Amul milk by Rs. Two per litre The above Federation markets it’s products under Amul brands. Now the rate of per litre of full cream milk will cost Rs. 63 instead of Rs 61 and the rates in buffalo milk n Gold milk has also been enhanced by Rs. 2. This increase has been affected in all the states except Gujarat which is going to polls this year. According to R. S. Sodhi, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Amul has increased the prices of full cream milk, Gold milk and Buffalo milk by Rs 2 in all the states except Gujarat. According to him the prices of the milk has been enhanced in view of the surge in demand of the fat prices. Subsequently the mother diary has also increased its prices to compensate for the increase in procurement prices reveal news reports. The prise rise trend goes on as earlier this year in March the milk prices were raised but the latest hike comes just two months after Amul in August announced increase in the rates of Amul Gold, Shakti and Taaza brands. It is believed that the growing lumpy disease in cows and buffaloes in various states has affected the milk production. Hence 45 % less milk yield being one of the pivotal reasons for the hike in milk prices. There, are reports of over one lakh cattles dying with the disease.
