The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has taken strict action against illegal construction in Rishikesh. On Monday, the MDDA team sealed an illegal multi-story building being constructed by Bhanu Rawat in Gali No. 9, Nirmal Bagh, Block B, Rishikesh.
During the action, Assistant Engineer Shashank Saxena, Junior Engineer Manish Dimri, Amit Bhardwaj, Supervisor Birendra Khanduri, Satish Kumar and police force were also present on the spot.
MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari said that it is the priority of the authority to stop unauthorized constructions in the city and surrounding areas.
Construction that violates the rules will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The public is also advised to obtain approval from the MDDA before any construction.
MDDA has clarified that similar strict action will continue against such illegal constructions in the future also.
