Massive landslide in Sirmaur. More than 100 metre road collapses. K B C winner dies in Kinnaur landslide
Large chunk of roads collapsed in a massive landslides in two places in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh today after twelve people have died on Sunday in Sangi valley of Himachal Pradesh and three grievously injured.
A video clip of the massive landslides at several places in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh has gone viral showing the most dangerous landslide during this monsoon with entire stretch of road on mountains coming down alongwith its heavy iron fencing of several metres.
According to the video posted in social media two stretches of road on the sides of the mountain are seen collapsing including caving of a road at Sirmaur after incessant rains of two days during the ongoing monsoon.
About one hundred meters of the roadside iron slides along with the road came down collapsing like sand within no time.
In Himachal Pradesh, lahaul Spiti, Uttarakhand n other hilly regions of the country there have been several cases of landslides, cloud bursts, roads caving in and deluge due to excessive monsoon rains claiming several lives.
No casualty has been assessed n reported in this massive landslide till now.
Among the twelve persons who died on the Sanday landslide in Sangu valley in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh was a young girl Deepa Sharma who had won Rs. 6, lakhs 40, thousands in Kaun Banega Karorpati’s seventh season.
She had posted her several photos with Amitabh Bachchan on her Twitter handle including the one posted half an hour before she died in this avalanche on Sunday.
Meanwhile thousands of vehicles have been stranded in Himachal Pradesh due to this massive landslide.

The most unfortunate part of Dr. Deepa Sharma tragic demise is that a nature lover just 6 days ago she had tweeted her beautiful pics on her Twitter handle being in Himachal Pradesh with a caption Life is nothing without mother nature not knowing that the same mother nature will take her life at such a young age. Popular in Twitter this particular tweet was liked by 34.3 thousand admirers with 3,645 retweets and 2,374 comments.
