A massive fire broke out in Keshopur Mandi on Tuesday night while the people were busy bursting crackers on the second day of Deepawali festivity. The fire spread rapidly and about one thousand crates of tomatoes and several temporary shops and Reharies have been burnt fully turning into ashes. The fire broke out at 12.00 AM midnight engulfing the major part of the vegetable Mandi creating a chaotic situation in and around with fire flames reaching the top. The panic stricken local residents and those living in the Mandai informed the fire brigade department about the massive fire. The fire that spread rapidly led to destruction everywhere with those residing in the Mandi running helter and skelter to save their lives and that of their children including taking the important articles at the safer places. The main reason for the fire to spread rapidly and within no time was the existence of the union and tamato crates of plastic which after catching fire melted and spread tremendously creating panic and chaos all around with the fore spreading in the adjacent localities as well. After the police and the fire fighting team reached the spot the fire could be extinguished in two hours with the fire fighters having a very tiresome night amid choas all round. Though the loss have been extensive thankfully there wasn’t any liss of life. Since the crates were stored in the open the fire couldn’t cause much damage as had they been existing inside the Mandi the damage could have been extensive and beyond control easily said the senior officials. Though the cause of the fire has not been ascertained till yet the benders suffered losses heavily, losing their everything in this deadly fire.
