MANU BHAKER BECOMES THE FIRST INDIAN ATHLETE TO WIN BACK TO BACK TWO BRONZE MEDALS IN A SINGLE EDITION OF OLYMPICS IN PARIS

There is again and ocassion to rejoice for the countrymen. India has brought the second medal in Paris Olympics today and the woman icon is the same who procured the first Bronze for the nation Manu Bhaker and with her is her co partner outstanding shooter Sarabjot Singh. The duo outstanding shooters have clinched the Bronze in the 10 metres air pistol shooting event on day 4 Paris Olympics today defeating South Korea this becoming the first ever woman Olympian to have win back to back two medals after India’s Independence in a single Olympics event. This has become a history till date.

There is another optimism regarding good performance as Indian shooters are quite in action in men’s trap and women trap qualification as well. The President and Prime minister have congratulated both the shooters for this outstanding performance winning the second Bronze on the fourth day of Paris Olympics.

The president while heartily congratulating both Manu Bhakar and Sarabjot Singh on their winning the Bronze Medal write on her social media handle X : Heartiest congratulations to Manu Bhaker for opening India’s medal tally with her bronze medal in the 10 metre air pistol shooting event at the Paris Olympics. She is the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in a shooting competition. India is proud of Manu Bhaker. Her feat is going to inspire many sportspersons, especially women.

I wish she scales greater heights of accomplishment in the future. The prime minister Narendra Modi also congratulated both the Bronze winners writing in X : Our shooters continue to make us proud!
