Manu Bhakar enters the final in 10 metres Air pistol shooting to be held in Paris Olympics on 28 th July
Winner of Gold medals in Commonwealth, Asian Games including ISSF world cup outstanding Indian shooter Manu Bhakar in 10 metres air pistol events Manu Bhakar has raised high hopes for India in the Paris Olympics after she has given a good news for reaching in the finals of 10 metres air pistol shooting. Manu Bhakar has been successful obtaining 580 points in the 60 shots qualifying round. Manu Bhakar has secured 97 points in first series, again 97 in second series, 98 in third and 96 in fourth n 96 in fifth and sixth series thus qualifying to reach in the finals which will take place at 3.30 PM on 28 th July in Paris.
Prior to this outstanding performance, in Tokyo Olympics Manu Bhakar has in 2020 secured the 12 th position. Bhakar has in inner 10, played 27 shots which were more than any shooter for qualification. Another competitor Ridam Sangwan was ousted from the competitions despite securing 573 marks.
In the Archery section also India has performed outstandingly well by securing 8 position in the last leg by the male archers and women archers remaining on the top four. According to the information before the finals India will not compete with the world class number one team of South Africa. This will help India Men’s team to conveniently procure the medal.
It may be recalled that International shooter Jaspal Rana is the personal coach of shooter Manu Bhakar.
