Maneka and Varun Gandhi not included in national executive of BJP, though Mithun Chakravorty and Hema Malini included.

Former union minister in the BJP government Maneka Gandhi and three term member of parliament from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, Varun Gandhi have not been included in the 309 member national executive committee of Bhartiya Janata Party, the list of which has been released to media today by its leader and national general secretary Arun Singh.

The new entrants in the national executive are Bollywood veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty and member of parliament from Mathura Hema Malini.

The prime minister Narendra Modi, veteran BJP leader and stalwart, former home minister Lal Krishna Advani, Party president JP Nadda, union home minister Amit Shah, former HRD minister Murli Manohar Joshi, union ministers Rajnath Singh, Dr. Nirmala Sitaraman, Prakash Jawadekar, Dharmendra Pradhan, Jyotiraditya Sindhiya, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal and several other central ministers have been included in the national executive but name of Maneka Gandhi and her son Varun are missing.

According to the press release signed by the BJP general secretary Arun Singh the national executive committee includes fifty special invitees and 179 permanent invitees. The chief Ministers, deputy CMs, leaders if the house in assemblies, former DCMs, national spokesmen, party observers, come observers, state presidents, general secretaries etc are usually the members of this committee.

It may be recalled that the Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi had been tweeting against the BJP, the party he is in, for the last few days especially the tweet of 7 th October in which he has openly sided with farmers cause and expressed his anger on the brutal murder of the farmers in Lakhimpur Khiri saying there has to be accountability for the murder and that the farmers cannot be silenced through murder posting the video and claiming that it is crystal clear that protestors cannot be silenced through murder. There has to be accountability for the innocent blood of farmers that has been spilled and justice must be delivered before a message of arrogance and cruelty enters the minds of every farmer tweeted Varun.

In early tweet as well he annoyed the ruling party leadership as below tweeting :

It may be recalled that in Lakhimpur Khiri incidents farmers, BJP workers n a journalist have died with hordes of leaders reaching to the strife torn district to pay homage to those who’d died and meet their families to express their condolences with allegations n counter allegations continuing against each other by rival political parties n leaders. While five farmers have been allegedly run over by a speeding vehicle the driver of the car n two other BJP workers were killed by Lathi blows etc.

Today cricketer turned former Punjab Congress chief Navjyot Singh Sidhu has left Mohali for Lakhimpur along with several cars full of Congress supporters via Saharanpur. The former, CM n incharge Punjab Congress, national general secretary Harish Rawat too has left for Lakhimpur from Baajpur, Uttarakhand to meet the families of the deceased farmers and express their condolences. The BJP and its leaders have criticized Congress n opposition leaders of trying to take political advantage of the situation and misguiding the people and farmers.
