Maneaters brutally kill a person of village Dalla, Rikhnikhal, Tehsil Lansdowne, RIP

The Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand are constantly witnessing dreaded incidents of maneater attacks by tigers and leopards ( Guldaar) killing good number of people. During the past several months several old, aged women, children and senior citizens have fallen prey to these maneaters roaming around freely in prowl for human flesh. Just today a case of maneater tiger attack came to light at Rikhnikhal block from village Dalla regarding attack by three carnivores ( Tigers) killing a man of village Dalla, Patti Peino, Tehsil Lansdowne. According to a latest news the victim namely Virendra Singh son of Ganga Singh was attacked by these tigers between Rathuvadav Maidavan Range and Jim Corbett Park . There had been several complaints to the forest department officials by the villagers of Jui and nearby villages about several maneaters roaming freely in search of human flesh but of no avail. Rikhnikhal range is considered to be one of the most affected blocks with several cases of maneater deaths recorded during the last several months. The killed person’s head and throat have been brutally grabbed by the jaws of these tigers killing him after dragging several meters away in the jungles.
