Maneater of Gajald village in Pauri Garhwal killed by a professional hunter

People heave a great sigh of relief

The Maneater leopard who had killed a resident of village Gajald near Satyakhal bazaar in Pauri Garhwal district namely a 41 year old Mr. Nautiyal who had gone to light a DIYA in the local temple has been killed by the professional hunters on the job. The government of Uttarakhand and the forest and wild life department including the Pauri Garhwal administration have hired two professional hunters and thereafter outstanding hunter Joy Hukil of Pauri township who has to his credit killing more than 40 maneaters.

The inhabitants of Galjald village have heaved a great Singh of relief after the maneater leopard was killed.

This particular predator had created quite a sensitisation in and around Ghazald village and earlier there had been several fatalities in Koti, Dhandri and other villages in Pokhra etc in Chowbattakhal with a child and few women also wounded grievously by maneater attacks.

A man was also killed by a predator in Barakot in Champawat. This was the second death at the behest of the maneater leopard in Kumaon division in a month.

Following prompt, clear, and strict instructions from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Forest Department deployed a team of specialized hunters.

After continuous surveillance, tracking, and an intensive operation, the team successfully killed the leopard.

Taking the incident seriously, Chief Minister Dhami had directed that the safety of the villagers is the top priority and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.

The district Magistrate of Pauri Garhwal Swati Bhadoria had also visited Gajald village few days ago and thereafter the DFO who faced tremendous anger of the locals asking for written commitment to kill the maneater.

The secretary of the forest department and Garhwal commissioner too had visited the Pauri township and held the meeting with the people’s representatives assuring them of all possible steps to be taken to kill the maneater.

After the professional Hunter Joy Hukeel was hired by the government the result arrived within a day and the maneater leopard in Ghazald villages have been killed sending a wave of sigh of relief among the villagers of the affected village.

The government has assured that vigilance and patrolling will be increased in the affected area to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.

Entire social media is agog with the posts congratulating the professional Hunter Joy Hukeel who has killed his 48 th target a maneater leopard who had created a havoc in entire Pauri Garhwal district.
