Man eater enters a house in Almora, injuring 4 members of a family
The terror of man eaters in Almora district of Uttarakhand has compelled people of this area to go indoors and be vigilant and alert as these days these hungry carnivores are even entering house to make human beings their easy pray. Though in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand several man eaters leopards are on prowl for human flesh as due to massive migration the pet domestic animals are in short numbers including jungles encroached upon by allegedly felling of trees in view of construction of various roads and other so called developmental projects etc.
The increasing noise pollution to have disturbed the carnivores compelled wander around in search of food and to ensure their safety etc. During the last few months there have been several fatal attacks by man eaters in Chamoli, Pauri Garhwal , Pithoragarh and Almora districts with women, children and young ones becoming their victim. According to a latest news pouring in four persons of a family literary fought with a man eater when it entered their house. They were, however, lucky enough to to create huge noise and bravely fought with the predator thereby getting injured. This matter is of Almora district’s Nagar Panchayat, Bhikiyasain. Here a man eater entered a house in busy area in Gandhi Nagar near a mosque. The man eater clandestinely entered the house in the late evening trying to attack the family members, but fortunately all of them saved their lives fighting the carnivore making him fled though injured. The names of the four members of the family are 60 year old Nurjahan, Rihana 40 yrs old, Asma 28 and Arif 20 years old. There is panic all around as it is usually said that the man eater again visits the area of its previous attacks thinking of getting his flesh. Not a day is Uttarakhand goes when attacks on domestic animals and human beings does not take place. The forest department officials try their best but of no avail as these clever hungry man eaters are always on prowl for human flesh wandering around in nearby jungles or behind bushes in agricultural fields targeting children and the women working on farmlands etc.
