MAMTA BANERJEE TO GO ALONE IN WEST BENGAL. LEADERS OF VARIOUS CONSTITUENTS DENY ANY RIFT SAYING RAHUL AND MAMATA ARE DETERMINED TO FIGHT BJP INCREDIBLY
The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance today suffered a huge setback after its important constituent Trinamool Congress Party declared that it will contest on all the parliamentary seats in West Bengal on its own, though it won’t severe link with the INDIA bloc. The AITMC supremo and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Bannerjee unambiguously said that the TMC will have no seat adjustment with any party in INDIA alliance after the talks of TMC with Congress on seat adjustment in the context of West Bengal could not yield any result.
Mamta Banerjee therefore preferred to go alone in West Bengal, the state ruled by her since 2011 securing majority in state assembly for the third consecutive time.
Kindly recall that in the last INDIA bloc meeting held in Mumbai, the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had announced the name of Congress veteran politician and party chief as the chairman of Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance with Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal backing her proposal.
The recent developments of Mamta Bannerjee going alone in West Bengal will have adverse impact on its political prospects especially when elections are round the corner and the construction including consecration of Ram statue by prime minister Narendra Modi is proving tremendously successful in polarizing Hindu votes at the pan India level, posing a stiff challenge to the INDIA BLOC.
The decision of Mamata Bannerjee to go alone in West Bengal has resulted in creating immense panic and sensitivity among the INDIA constituents, especially the Congress party with the senior Congress leader and AICC’s communication in charge Jai Ram Ramesh holding a press conference.
Giving weightage to the AITMC leader Mamta Bannerjee inorder to keep her in good humour and ensure her cohesive association with INDIA, Jairam Ramesh cleared that without Mamta Bannerjee and TMC there is no imagination for INDIA to exist.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that speed breakers do come on the way . Our chief Mallikarjun Kharge has negotiated with the leaders of all the constituents of INDIA and we are absolutely clear that minus Mamta Bannerjee and TMC, I.N.D.I.A is non existent / a non entity.
Jairam Ramesh said that Mamta Bannerjee had unambiguously committed that we are incredibly together to defeat the BJP and will do anything to ensure the defeat of the saffron party.
Even the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, these days busy in his Nyay Yatra said that the TMC is an incredible part of INDIA alliance and in Bengal INDIA bloc will contest with adjustments.
Commenting on the recent decision of TMC chief and West Bengal CM Mamta Bannerjee to go alone in her state in the ensuing general elections JD(U) MP and leader Manoj Jha said – kindly wait for some time. May be the TMC chief had issued the statement due to circumstantial pressure or this being her strategy.
If at all there is any confrontation with her on seat adjustments, the issue will be sorted out amicably emphasised Manoj Jha.
There is no need to arrive at conclusions about any confrontation or division in INDIA said Manoj Jha as everything is in order.
Similarly, reacting to the development, the NCP national spokesman Clyed Cresto reiterated that the TMC led by Mamta Banerjee is a very important constituent of Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.They are with us solidly and we will fight the BJP unitedly said Cresto. If she has issued a statement it can be a part of her strategy, nothing adverse said Cresto.
Mamata Bannerjee and Rahul Gandhi are determined and committed to fight BJP and bring INDIA victorious with flying colours. He assured that INDIA bloc is fighting BJP incredibly and there are no differences whatsoever.
The Delhi minister in AAP government Saurabh Bharadwaj has said that since Congress, CPM and TMC have been contesting against each other for years , it will definitely take some time in seat adjustment with TMC to have the major say.
He said : there will be definitely an adjustment among the contesting parties and Rahul, Mamata are fully determined to take on the saffron party with full commitment, grit and determination.
The UBT, Shiv Sena leader Aditi Thakrey termed Mamata Bannerjee as tigress saying that she is fighting the BJP strongly.
Meanwhile JD(U) has in a statement said that the INDIA constituent Congress should give space to the regional parties whereas the NCP leader Supriya Sule denied having any rift in INDIA bloc adding that Mamata is our elder sister and will fight the general election together with guys, grit and determination and there won’t be any hard to the alliance.
