In the history of the Indian political scenario only one chief minister of the opposition block could take the courage to directly confront with the enforcement directorate politically and physically instead of submitting to its pressures in Kolkata first and then at the centre by the Trinamool Congress’s all the MPs protesting outside the office of the union Home minister Amit Shah and simultaneously at Parliament precincts being literally heckled, pushed and forcibly arrested and taken in the police van which included several women parliamentarians as well hailing from TMC. It all started yesterday when the enforcement directorate officers raided the office of IPak, a company earlier handled by Prashant Kishore, now by Prateek Mishra looking after the entire election affairs of the TMC and took the laptops and important documents related to TMC elections and its electoral strategy. The furious Bengal chief minister alongwith her DG and police came to the IPAK office and accused the ED and union Home minister for intentionally raiding the I PAC offices, including accusation of vote theft in Bengal and cutting the names of 54 lakh voters under the guise of SIR. According to the latest news, TMC deployed its central force (CISF or CRPF) at the house and party office of the person who keeps the accounts of the party and sent ED inside.
As soon as she got the news, Mamata Banerjee entered the house of the person who kept the party’s records despite the force stopping her and came out with the hard disc. The CM Mamta Bannerji also took the mobile phone of Prateek Mishra in her personal possession. The situation became quite chaotic. According to the news the ED officers who had gone to the political consultancy firm IPAC to conduct raid couldn’t do so as the DG of Bengal allegedly asked them not to do so and say that after raid nothing has been found etc. The DGP reportedly also warned that if this was not done, the ED officials would be exonerated. The ED also says that the situation at that time was completely against them. Meanwhile in Delhi in the morning hours the TMC MPs strategically raised slogans outside the parliament precincts against the BJP government and Amit Shah holding him responsible for the raids in the IPAC office in Calcutta which is looking after the political and election work of the TMC. He was pushed, heckled and arrested and pushed inside the police van forcibly. The protesting MPs outside the union Home minister’s place shouted slogans and held placards on which it was written ,:Amit Dhah- ED Bs People of Bengal, Bengal Modi Amit Shah ki Gandi Chaalon ko Kharish karta hai. Done placards had slogans in Bengali language.
