Mamta Banerjee becomes furious against the HC order to revoke OBC reservation in her state, says would approach higher court
The Trinamool Congress Supremo and the vociferous chief minister of West Bengal, always on a collision course with the central ruling political dispensation Mamta Banerjee is badly annoyed after the West Bengal high court revoked the OBC reservation to the 37 categories / classes in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee seems to have gone haywire after this decision and has refused to accept it reveal sources. In one of the public meetings she categorically said that the West Bengal High Court decision to revoke the OBC reservation and cancellation of OBC certificates is not acceptable to her. While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Dumdum Lok Sabha constituency furious West Bengal CM Ms Banerjee said that this decision of High Court will amount to cancellation of OBC certificates of five lakh people of minority community in her state which is not acceptable to her at all. Her utterances clearly indicates that she will approach the apex court to challenge the High Court decision. While addressing the mammoth public meeting the TMC leader n CM in her loud voice clearly said that she respects the courts n law to the fullest but couldn’t tolerate the decision to keep the Muslims out of the OBC reservation. The ITC head of BJP Amit Malviya has posted the video of Mamata Banerjee on his X handle in which she is seen outrightly opposing the High Court’s decision and saying that it is unacceptable to her.
She clearly stated that that in West Bengal the reservation would be implemented at any cost as it was prepared considering all the constitutional obligations very much in mind.
Expressing her desire to approach the apex court if need be Mamata Banerjee said that the OBC reservation decision was finalised by her government after going door to door and preparing a legislation on OBC reservation after adequate survey which was duly passed by the Cabinet Committee as well as Bengal Assembly.
She directly blamed the BJP for working to revoke reservation to OBC by some people approaching the Courts to get this needful done. How can the BJP do such nasty thing she asked ?
She accused the BJP to again hatch a new conspiracy to revoke OBC reservation in West Bengal after they failed in Sandeshkhali.
Meanwhile, the union home minister Amit Shah who has always been very bitter against Mamata Banerjee was also seen on an attacking mode .
He was addressing a meeting on Wednesday when he strongly accused the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for always doing vote politics and encouraging infiltrators in Bengal this spoiling the demography of the state and the country thus committing a huge sin posing direct threat to national security. He went to the extent of saying that after the saffron party wins thirty parliamentary seats in West Bengal the TMC state government will be destabilized with Mamata Banerjee giving last adieu to her voters.
