Despite Baba Siddique leaving Congress after his protracted association with the party for 48 years and joining NCP ( Ajit Pawar) which defected with Ajit Shinde faction that has formed government in Maharashtra disintegrating the Congress supported Shiv Sena and NCP ( Sharad Pawar), the Congress party and its senior leaders have expressed their deepest condolences on his tragic demise accusing the Maharashtra government led by Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena for crippling law and order in the state having completely failed to control the increasing crime in Mumbai where politicians and people are being killed in open roads having no fear of law and order. The Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge while expressing his immense shock over the brutal killing of Baba Siddique said that the tragic demise of former Maharashtra Minister, Shri Baba Siddique is shocking beyond words. In this hour of grief, I offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends and supporters. Justice must be ensured, and the present Maharashtra Govt must order a thorough and transparent investigation. The culprits must be brought to book at the earliest. The leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi accusing the Maharashtra government led by CM Eknath Shinde said that the law and order has completely collapsed in Maharashtra. In a condolence message Rahul Gandhi write in X :The tragic demise of Baba Siddique ji is shocking and saddening. My thoughts are with his family in this difficult time. This horrifying incident exposes the complete collapse of law and order in Maharashtra. The government must take responsibility, and justice must prevail.
The senior general secretary of AICC K. C. Venugopal in his long message while criticizing the Eknath Shinde government accusing it for total failure of law and order in Mumbai where even senior leaders are not safe not to speak of the safety of common citizens said that he is shocked, stunned and outraged at the killing of Baba Siddique ji. Siddique ji served the people with dedication and worked hard to preserve communal harmony. His passing away is a massive loss to the people of Mumbai and Maharashtra.
This incident is a serious indictment of the crumbling law and order situation in Maharashtra. Siddique ji had on multiple occasions intimated the authorities about the threats to his life and he suffered despite being under Y plus security.
That this shooting took place on the road, in the middle of bustling markets, shows that criminals no longer fear the law in Maharashtra. Even leaders of the ruling alliance are not safe in the heart of its capital any more. I am surprised that the Railway Minister is conducting a programme in Bandra today. Humanity? He further write : 6 months ago, Lawrence Bishnoi’s shooters had fired at Salman Khan’s house.Then CM Shinde had boasted about eliminating Bishnoi. After 6 months, Bishnoi committed such a big crime while being in jail. Chief Minister Shinde’s hollow claims fell flat wrote Shinde on X.

The picture of the two top stars viz Salman Khan’s, Shahrukh Khan in the company of Baba Siddique in jubilant mode is going viral in social media with alleged good relations between Salman Khan’s and Baba Siddique quoted as one of the reasons for his brutal death by a gangster who is in jail thus allegedly sending dangerous signals to the Bollywood star. Few months ago there were firing outside Salman’s Galaxy apartment too for which Lawrence Bishnoi had taken the responsibility.
