Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi strongly condemned the lathicharge in protesting students in Bihar !
The Congress President Malikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi have today strongly condemned and criticised the so called double engine government of BJP and its allies for their double harrasment and victimisation of the youths n students of Bihar who were protesting with a demand for cancellation of the examinations of Bihar state Subordinate Service Commission. Both the leaders on their messages of serious concern over the barbaric lathicharge on the protesting students on their respective social media handles strongly condemned this barbaric lathicharge terming it as the double engine government’s double repression of innocent students. The Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said : The brutal lathicharge and inhuman atrocities on BPSC candidates have been done by the NDA government of Bihar to hide paper leak and rigging. The attempt to break the morale of the youth by using dictatorship against them is extremely shameful and condemnable.The BJP has spread a web of paper leak mafia across the country, which is ruining the future of the youth. More than 70 papers have been leaked in the last 7 years. The future of 3.28 lakh youth in the BPSC exam is hanging in the balance. When rigging is detected the BJP shamelessly denies or tries to silence the youth by lathi-charging them said the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on X. The Congress general secretary and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on X : Students were tortured for the second time in three days in Bihar. It is the government’s job to stop corruption, rigging and paper leaks in examinations. But instead of stopping corruption, students are being prevented from raising their voice. Water cannon and lathi charge on youth in this harsh cold is inhuman. BJP’s double engine has become a symbol of double atrocities on the youth said Priyanka Gandhi. She also expressed her immense concern over the death of a Dalit youth in police custody in Madhya Pradesh. Priyanka Gandhi tweeted on X : Insult of Babasaheb Ambedkar and oppression on weaker sections is the basic mantra of BJP’s rule.
The case of the death of a Dalit youth in police custody in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh is extremely serious. The family alleges that the youth died due to police brutality. Earlier, there was news of atrocities on Dalit families and the death of a Dalit youth in police custody from Parbhani, Maharashtra.
It seems that under the BJP rule, the police have got a free hand to oppress the weaker sections like Dalits, Adivasis and the deprived.
