The Yogi Adityanath government has reshuffled thirty three officers of IAS rank in Uttar Pradesh. This top bureaucratic reshuffle has surprised many as it witnessed the once most trusted officer of UP the Director Information Shishir Kumar Singh being replaced who was on this important seat since the first term of Yogi Adityanath. Singh had been immensely instrumental in popularising the image of the UP CM Yogi Adityanath and the BJP government led by him. In place of Shishir Kumar Singh , now the district magistrate of Bhadohi would be the new director Information. The new appointee Vishal Singh is counted as one of the result oriented officers in Uttar Pradesh’s bureaucratic circles. He was earlier the Ayodhya Development Authority’s chairman and during his term he was credited for fine tuning both Varanasi and Ayodhya by beautifying both Ayodhya and Banaras. Now it seems that taking the cue from his earlier outstanding performance he has now been accorded the responsibility as Director Information UP to beautify, popularise further the image of the incumbency CM and his government.
Another important name in the list of transfers is of Kaushal Raj Sharma who was the commissioner of Varanasi. Varanasi is the parliamentary constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi. Kaushal Raj has now been shifted to UP CM’s secretariat as his secretary, a very important assignment. The district magistrate of Varanasi S.Rajlingam has been transfered as Commissioner of Varanasi in place of Kaushal Raj, IAS. L. Venkateshwar Lu, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation and Principal Secretary of Transport Department has been relieved of the charge of Transport Department. He will however continue to handle the work of Social Welfare and Sainik Welfare Department as well as Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management. IAS Amit Gupta has been given the charge of chief of stamps and registration with the additional charge of Transport Department. Earlier the special secretary of CM Yogi Adityanath Satyendra Kumar has been appointed as the District Magistrate of Varanasi.

Navneet Singh Chahal, DM Azamgarh has been appointed as Special Secretary, Chief Minister’s Office.
Avinash Singh, DM, Ambedkar Nagar has been appointed as DM, Bareilly. Anupam Shukla, Special Secretary, Energy and Additional Energy Department, Uttar Pradesh has been appointed as DM, Ambedkar Nagar.
Indrajit Singh, Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow has been made Special Secretary, Energy and Additional Energy Department, Uttar Pradesh Government and Director, UP Noida and Managing Director.
Gaurav Kumar, Chief Development Officer, Prayagraj and Divisional Food Controller, Prayagraj has been made Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow. Harshika Singh, Joint Magistrate, Chandauli has been made Chief Development Officer, Prayagraj and Divisional Conspiracy, Prayagraj, Gaurav Kumar, Chief Development Officer, Prayagraj and Divisional Food Controller, Prayagraj has been made Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow.
