The supreme sacrifices of our Army officers and brave heart dare devil soldiers deputed at our borders and guarding them under inclement weather conditions including challenging situations is continuing with the count of such bravehearts dying for the nation increasing on every alternate day. From Uttarakhand on an average at least one Braveheart every week loses his precious life serving the nation fighting inclement weather conditions, falling to the bullets of the enemy forces while being on anti terror operations or while killing the dreaded terrorists.
Those laying their lives in duty are all youngsters having not seen the world much, except going on missions to serve the country. As a sequel to the ongoing sacrifices another soldier of Uttarakhand made a supreme sacrifice for the country on the border. Major Pranay Negi who was posted in Leh was sacrificed. He was posted in the 94 Medium Regiment of the Indian Army. Originally resident of Tehri, Garhwal his mortal remains will reach Doon tomorrow. His family lives in Doiwala of Dehradun district. His family is currently living at Bhaniowala, Dehradun.
According to the information, 36 year old Pranay Negi was posted as Major in the Indian Army. Pranay passed out from IMA in 2013 and became a lieutenant in the army. Major Pranab Negi, posted in 94 Medium Regiment 18 Artillery Battalion, was on duty in Leh. Major Pranay Negi suddenly fell ill while on duty on Monday, April 29, after which he was admitted to the hospital, where he died during treatment. The parents got this tragic news on 29 th April sending shock wave all around including the near and dear ones n close relatives. His coffin with full state honours draped in trucolor will be brought on Wednesday at Bhaniowala, Doiwala for the Darshan of his anguished family. After laying of wraths and darshan by all the relatives and anguished accquaintants the martyred body will be taken to Haridwar finally consigned to flames after conduction of rituals etc.

Former chief minister of Uttarakhand and the BJP candidate from parliamentary constituency Haridwar Trivendra Singh Rawat has while expressing his serious condolences wrote on social media platform X : While carrying forward the glorious tradition of Military Dham Uttarakhand, the sad news was received about the martyrdom of Major Pranay Negi, a resident of Bhaniyawala in Doiwala area of Leh in Jammu and Kashmir. My heartfelt tribute to the brave martyr who displayed indomitable courage and bravery to protect mother India. My deepest condolences are with the martyr’s family.
