Maharashtra’s power crisis complicated again !

It seems that the power issue in Maharashtra has become complicated again as BJP has abandoned Shinde and embraced Ajit Pawar.
That too in the hope that Shinde’s government will remain in place despite the possible expulsion of 16 MLAs.

The issue involved was the appointment of guardian ministers in the 12 legislative assemblies of the state. Shinde wanted dominance in these 12 areas while Ajit Pawar wanted only his people including himself to be placed on the seats in and around Pune.

Former BJP president Chandrakant Patil was sitting on one of these Pune seats. Now Ajit Pawar has staked his personal claim on that seat. Due to this, BJP’s problems have increased.

The issue was resolved by Amit Shah when he summoned Shinde, Panwar and Fadnavis to Delhi and clearly announced the decision that care ministers would be appointed as per Ajit Panwar’s wish.

In this new controversy, BJP has no option but to accept Ajit Pawar’s words. But this decision of Shah created tension between Shinde and BJP factions at the state level, which could take the form of rebellion at any time.

In fact, the politics of the alliance does not match with the Prime Minister and his troubleshooter because both of them have never done such politics.
It is their inexperience that has become the cause of their problems.

Modi and Shah never formed any political or electoral alliance. Whatever they got in the form of NDA is the legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Advani. Confirmation of this can be understood from the scenario after Modi’s entry into the national arena.
Modi Shah could not add any new allies to NDA but on the contrary lost old and traditional allies like Akali, AIADMK.
