Maha Governor Koshiyari writes to Uttarakhand CM advising him to improve medical colleges and form land reform commission
The governor of Maharashtra who’d earliar been the Uttarakhand chief minister and member of parliament from Nainital always seems to be concerned for Uttarakhand’s development and never forgets to meet the state chief ministers guiding them from time to time on various burning issues of the hilly region.
This time he lost no opportunity to advise the newly sworn in tenth chief minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat on various pivotal issues of the state, especially in view of the fast approaching state elections due in the year 2022’s initial months.
The Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has shot a letter to the Uttarakhand CM a day ago advising him to not only improve the status and condition of medical colleges and health sector in Uttarakhand but also bring obout rapid improvement in the lands stafus of the state by forming/ establishing the Lands Reforms Commission as the people of the state are confronted with immense problems especially after making the condition of joint acount(Khaate) mandatory etc.
In a letter sent to the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has urged him to establish the Land Reforms Commission forthwith as the people of the state are facing tremendous problems in this regard apart from grievances related to health sector and longing for the long term development of the state.
Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari also advised the state CM to carry our credible improvement in the protracted developmental projects including in all medical colleges especially of Almora and Rudrapur compounded with immediate closure of Uttarakhand Development Authority.
Showing his genuine concern towards the development of Uttarakhand and its suffering people, Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari catagorically emphasised the urgent need for the introduction nand formulation of protracted and short term developmental projects and formation of the credible lands Reforms Commission as the present n sucessive state governments have not been able to bring about the land reforms during the last two decades after the state came into existence.
He complained that the lands in Uttarakhand have been unnecessarily divided into several catagories leading to harrasment of the land holders who are in real problems due to the joint ownsrship etc.
He urged for the immediate formation of a Land Reforms Commission led by an IAS officer alongwith a senior advocate to bring urgent level reforms. Governor Koshiyari also urged to improve the state ‘s all medical colleges and upgrade the tourism infrastructure to the hilt especially inview of the expeditious construction of wide Rail and roads network in Uttarakhand connecting them with the four historic religious shrines of the Himalayan state.
