Lucknow’s Mohit Pandey died in police custody. Congress says this is the 2 nd death in police custody during the last 15 days

Expressing her serious concern and accusing the state government and its police for allegedly killing a person named Mohit in Police custody adding that this is the second death in police custody in the state capital Lucknow in the last 15 days. First Dalit youth Aman Gautam died and now Brahmin community’s Mohit Pandey died . Uttar Pradesh is number one in the country in terms of custodial deaths.
Speaking strongly against the UP government and police the Congress spokesperson posted the video on her Twitter handle and wrote on X:
There was a dispute between Mohit and his employee Aadesh over Rs 600. After this the police picked up Mohit and when Mohit’s brother reached the police station he was also put in the lockup. Brother says that at the police station the police beat Mohit so much that he died.
According to reports, Aadesh’s uncle is a local leader who is close to a BJP MLA. Police picked up Mohit at 11 pm, but showed his arrest the next day at 1 am. Why was Mohit Pandey illegally detained for 14 hours ? Why was Mohit Pandey illegally detained for 14 hours? BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla also tried to end the matter by giving Rs 1 lakh.
