Lt General retired Yogendra Dimri is the new Vice Chairman of UPSDMA ! Congrats
Lt.General Yogendra Dimri who’ve retired after forty years of gracious and dedicated service in Indian Army, VSM, AVSM and PVSM has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority , a state ministerial rank after retiring from service last February. An officer of high repute and impeccable integrity ( Rtd) Lt. General Dimri was commissioned in Indian Military service in Mumbai Engineering Group in December 1983 having completed his schooling from reputed Saint Joseph College , Allahabad, now Prayagraj. Lt General Dimri obtained his professional courses from various institutions such as NDA in Khadakwasla, IMA from Defence services Staff College etc.
Recipient of the prestigious Silver Grenade in the Young Officers Course and the Gold Medal in the military Engineers Degree Course Dimri was also awarded President’s Gold Medal at the Indian Military Academy for qualifying with “first” in the order of merit. Lt General Dimri is also credited for serving at staff and instructional posts such aa Brigadier General at Staff Operations of a Corps and deputy Director General for Military Operations at the IDS of Ministry of Defence. Lt General Dimi was awarded Param Vishisht Sewa Medal in 2016 , Still Vishisht Sewa Medal in 2019 and Param Vishisht Sewa Medal in 2023 prior to his retirement for his meritorious services after forty years of service in Indian Army in various responsible positions.
