LOP Rahul Gandhi says : The ruling party lack political strong will carry out operation Sindoor
The leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi was extremely vociferous in the Lok Sabha while speaking in the special discussion on the successful, formidable, hard hitting and successful operation of defence forces called Sindoor against Pakistan for aiding and abetting the most brutal and genocidal attacks on innocent Pahalgam tourists.
Speaking with tremendous confidence in his extempore speech Rahul Gandhi said that the prime minister Narendra Modi should keep in mind that the nation is above his image, public relations exercise and politics.
Terming the Pakistan attack on India after the Pahalgam attack in response to Indian attack on Pakistan he said that it was extremely dangerous as it wasn’t an attack from Pakistan but a result of the fusion of Chinese and Pakistan military powers.
Coming down heavily on prime minister Narendra Modi several times during his hard hitting speech – Congress leader and LOP Rahul Gandhi at times banged his desk saying that if the prime minister has half of the courage as the former prime minister Indira Gandhi who had the guts and gumption to sent back the 7 th American fleet challenging the then US president Nixon in 1971 and attacked Pakistan compelling its 1 lakh soldiers to surrender, he should come to parliament and openly say that US president Donald Trump is telling lies that he led to the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the sentence uttered by him 29 times.
Ridiculing the union defence minister Rajnath Singh for his statement in Parliament that they attacked Pakistan but informed them that they had not targetted their military installations as they don’t want escalation Rahul Gandhi said that on the one hand our late prime minister Indira Gandhi attacked Pakistan, established a new nation out of Pakistan called Bangladesh and compelled its one lakh soldiers to surrender, our defence minister informs the Pakistani counterparts that they don’t want escalation nor targetting the military installations of Pakistan.
He said if you want to fight them go all out and defeat them once for call than informing Pakistan that we are not for escalation.
He catagorically said that we need a Prime minister who gives total freedom to Army, the Airforce as Indira Gandhi did and divided Pakistan into two, forming Bangladesh.
Reminding of the Indira Gandhi era of giving free discretion to the then Field Marshal General Manekshaw Rahul Gandhi said that defence minister on Monday in his speech had compared the operation Sindoor to 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. But there was a strong political will of the then prime minister Indira Gandhi when she straight away said to President Nixon that we will go for the war, you can come with your 7 th fleet. The super power was coming but Indira Gandhi the PM with strong political will said we dont care.
Similarly General Manekshaw was given freedom to act according to his will and we got Bangladesh. On the other hand the present government lacked the political will and instead asked its DGMO to request Pakistan DGMO for a ceasefire to which he readily agreed said Rahul Gandhi.
He said this means that our leaders did not have political will to fight Pakistan and was conveyed to it.
Speaking vociferously and with tremendous oratorical skill Rahul Gandhi quoted Captain Shiv Kumar the India’s Defence Attache to Indonesia, as saying that India had lost some aircraft and that happened only because of the constraints given by the political leadership not to attack air defence and military targets. “You tied their hands behind their backs and the Defence Minister has said this in Parliament itself.”
He also quoted the statement of Anil Chouhan, Chief of the Defence forces regarding loss of five Indian defence aircrafts during this operation.
Talking about the new word devised by the external affairs minister Jaishankar Rahul said ” New Normal” is quite famous these days. He said that Mr. Jaishankar liked to use the phrase “new normal”. The “new normal” was that the chief architect of the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan’s General Muneer, had lunch with U.S. President Donald Trump . While the PM couldn’t go and meet him the chief of the Pakistan Army staff whose speech led to the Pahalgam attack is being invited by the US president as the chief guest on US Army day said Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi posted his video of parliament speech on X and wrote : If Modi Ji has even 50% of the strength of Indira Gandhi, then he should clearly say in the parliament – Donald Trump is lying!
Say that neither did he enforce ceasefire nor did any of our planes crash.
Do not use the army as a tool to save your image, Modi Ji!
