Legendary singer Negi in the midst of Uttarakhandies in Delhi. Felicitated again by his die hard fans

After receiving the coveted Sangeet Natak Academy Award legendary singer, lyricist, poet, literateur and thinker Narendra Singh Negi was showered with tons of affection and adoration by people of Uttarakhand who love him, adore him and are literally his die hard fans too.

The post Natak Academy Award felicitation function was organised at Ashok Nagar by his affectionate fans to pay their respects to their singing superstar living legend Narendra Singh Negi. 72 years old Negi accompanied with his wife was felicitated by various social organisations with shawls, as a mark of respect.

The event was ably anchored by enthusiastic young social activist Mr Halsi. The president of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum Sunil Negi and activists Pramod Raturi and Chairman of DPMI Dr. Vinod Bacheti congratulated the legendary singer of Uttarakhand by presenting him a shawl and vowing down before him for his, outstanding and unparalleled contribution to Uttarakhand in his capacity of an extraordinary folk singer, lyricist and musician. Mr. Negi was accompanied by his singer wife Usha Negi. The event was very successful in the sense that each and every participant made it a point to express their adoration for their most sought after singing icon Negi.

Sunil Negi, the senior journalist and president of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum along with the well known social activist Pramod Raturi after felicitating Negi, termed iconic singer as the sole voice of Uttarakhand and an unparalleled iconic personality who sung n wrote songs for Uttarakhand not only for its culture but also against prevailing social evils, prevalence of illicit liquor, dowry, environmental degradation, corruption and degrading heath sector. Negi said that he is not only an asset for Uttarakhand but a hope for the future generation.
