Today Left Parties protested against the budget pronouncing it as anti people budget of the Central Government at Jantar Mantar Delhi.
The demonstration was led by Prof. Dinesh Varshney Secretary CPI Delhi State Council and National Council Member, Anurag Saxena Secretary CPIM DELHI STATE.
The protest meeting was addressed by Com. Ramakrishna Panda , CPI national Secretary . Addressing them he said that the government has reduced social sector expenditure. He demanded that the government must withdraw 100%. GDI in insurance sector. Wealth tax of 4% must be imposed on 200 super rich and Funds must be sent to state as per federalism. He also demanded Increase in food subsidy on ration system including implementation of MSP on farm products. He also demanded Introduction of urban employment guarantee act.
Prominent among those who addressed them were Com. Vikram CPIM Central Committee member, Ravi Ray secretary CPI(ML) Delhi State, Manvendra from RSP and Birju Naik of CGPI.
Meanwhile the CPI Delhi State Council is very sad because of the stampede at New Delhi Railway station.
It caused 18 deaths and many injured. While paying their heartfelt condolences to all those families who lost their family members the CPI demanded immediate increase in compensation to Rs one crore to each family of dead and 25 Lakhs to injured.
