LANSDOWNE CHOSEN AS AN WONDERFUL LOCATION FOR A BOLLYWOOD MOVIE TO BE SHOT IN SEPTEMBER. ANUPAM KHER WAS THE STAR ATTRACTION !

The charm of Lansdowne a wonderfully woven hill station by nature earlier ” KAALODAANDA” developed by the British, originally, when they came here to establish GARHWAL RIFLES before 1886 is attracting Bollywood film personalities these days.

Situated at the height of 1800 metres above sea level, this hill station is exquisitely full of serene beauty and pleasing environment even during summers with its temperature usually remaining at 19 degree Celcius during peak summers going down during evening and night hours, a perfect place for tourists.

However, during weekends being close to Delhi especially people prefer this station as the best choice with Lansdowne usually becoming crowded on Saturdays and Sundays.

Surrounded with natural serene beauty of thick forests consisting of tall oak and blue pine trees Lansdowne falls under the Pauri GARHWAL district.

Two days ago impressed and influenced by its pleasing environment and serene beauty renowned film actor Anupam Kher visited Lansdowne in connection with the pre shooting location search and R&D along with his cinematographer Manoj Kumar and chief operating officer Hamen Dsouza for a Bollywood movie’s shooting to be formally commenced in and around Lansdowne in the month of September. The MAHURAT SHOT was shot in Durga Mata Temple at GARHWAL Rifles headquater’s, precincts.

The Cantonment area of Lansdowne and probably the GARHWAL Rifles headquarter and its surrounding precincts were chosen as admirable Locations.

Anupam Kher a renowned vlogger as well, interacted with lot of people including the forest officer Mrs and Mr. Pant and also clicked pictures with them. He visited the GARHWAL Rifles office and Cantonment precincts etc and extracted lot of significant information including posing for photographs in the forests of oak n pine trees giving a soothing look.

A nature lover himself being from Kashmir and living in Himachal Pradesh Anupam Kher really felt impressed after visiting Lansdowne.

He also posted a video interacting with a Guard Mr. Chandra Mohan Singh Negi who was using a simple mobile phone asking him as to how do he manages with such an ordinary phone during the days of hi tech mobile phones.

Chandra Mohan Singh Negi praised Anupam saying that he is fond of television, pictures and news and had seen his lot of movies. He lauded his histrionics in films.

The video went viral in social media. The veteran actor posted a photo of his in lush green Lansdowne forest in Instagram titled : “Ek Naye Sapne ki shuruaat'”, ( Commencement of a new dream). He was in the company of Navin Chandra Pant during his stay in Lansdowne with whom he sought lot of knowledgeable information on Lansdowne, its culture, people and Cantonment board etc.
