IN Uttarakhand the monsoon season seems to be Havoc oriented.
There have already been tremendous destruction and human losses with several deaths in ecological catastrophic tragedies and accidents. The collateral damages has also been widespread. The inclement weather has compounded the tragedies by a good number of traffic accidents including the vehicles falling in gorges and people as well as commuters in roads dying brutally of boulder falls from mountains. Several villages were swept away and hundreds of vehicles too swept away in the high tides of over flooded rivers and rivulets due to massive rains and cloud burst incidents. People living in villages and Uttrakhand towns are badly petrified during the monsoon even before it arrives fully. As if this wasn’t enough, at Devprayag , Pauri Garhwal several huge boulders fell down in human habitats injuring one person and leading to the damage of several houses creating quite panic in the entire area. The residents were badly petrified and under constant fear as to when these boulders again fall on them especially when they are sleeping during the nights what will be their fate ? Kindly recall that a landslide created panic in Bah Bazaar situated at the foot of Narasimhachal mountain in Devprayag. Many houses were damaged due to the falling of big boulders from the hill. One person has been injured in this.
