Land law remains intact, government should issue white paper on redistribution of lands after Trivendra Rawat’s decision : Congress

Uttarakhand Congress senior vice-president and spokesperson Dhirendra Pratap today termed the land law passed by the Dhami cabinet as a “superficial” law and said the state government should issue a white paper on the lands purchased in the state after the decision of the Trivendra Rao government.
Pratap said that with today’s decision, the current Chief Minister of the state Dhami has given the opportunity to the former Chief Minister of the state Trivendra Singh Rawat.
It has been defeated and BJP’s internal divisions and fighting have come to the fore.
Dhirendra Pratap said that the strictness which should have been seen in the land law on the lines of Himachal Pradesh is not visible.
He has demanded the release of a white paper by the government on the looting of lands by outsiders and especially the BJP in the last 7 years, saying that this will help in knowing how much loot the BJP has given to the BJP in the last 7 years.
He said that 60 percent of the land of Uttarakhand has already been looted and the cabinet decision is being taken to show off. He said that in the way the Prime Minister had benefited his friends with crores of rupees by informing the rich people about the government decision in advance during demonetization.
Similarly, before creating a storm with this new land law, the BJP people here have looted thousands of bighas of land on which the government should issue a white paper.
He said that more than this, the government did not consider it appropriate to discuss this issue with political parties and agitators before taking a decision, which is an insult to democracy.
He described the new land law as very weak and said that it should be reconsidered and the government should talk to the leaders of all political parties and agitating organizations.
