The hapless poor parents ( reasons not known) left the girl child, their most loving creature in a swing of the “Srivastav orphanage”. On finding the child next morning the management of the orphanage gave her the name LAILA. During those days an American couple with the name Harren and Su had visited India. Already parents of a girl, this couple was interested to adopt a girl child. They went to this Pune Ashram for want of a handsome boy. While looking for a boy the couple saw Laila with bright eyes and innocent face. This enticed the couple who changed their opinion and adopted Laila legally, changing her name to Lisa Carprini Sthalekar . They left for USA with Laila now LISA and after some years permanently settled in Sydney, Australia. The caring parents, especially her fostered father trained her adopted daughter LISA in cricket, starting from colony parks to stadium. LISA showed immense interest in cricket and studied as well completing her higher education. She was finally perfect and trained cricketer having later on bringing laurels for their parents and the country in cricket in various national and international tournaments.
