LACK OF SLEEP LED TO THE TRAGEDY IN WHICH THE ENTIRE FAMILY OF FIVE WAS WIPED OUT AFTER THEIR “THAR” FELL 350 MTRS DOWN IN ALAKNANDA RIVER

Success and tragedy is always destined say everyone but instead of exercising caution leaving everything to destiny is never advisable. We usually commit mistakes and blunders before meeting such tragic fate but finally leave everything to destiny. If everything is left to destiny or God then there is no need to exercise precaution leaving everything at the disposal of the Almighty. No this is not done. There is a very popular saying that God helps those who help themselves.

Sometimes a little or casual lapse on our part lead to a huge tragedy as happened in th case of the entire family being wiped out in a tragic accident that occured near Mulya village on Devprayag Badrinath road, Garhwal yesterday when a “Thar” vehicle fell 300 metres down in Alaknanda brutally killing all the 5 members of the family with only a woman lucky enough to save herself out of six members.

According to the latest news pouring in the tragic death of all the five members in this deadly tragedy happened because the THAR they were travelling in fell down in the Alaknanda after the owner Driver Sunil Gusain unfortunately unknowingly took a nap of few seconds due to lack of sleep as he drive the vehicle for the entire night starting the journey from their home , Faridabad in the night and traveling non stop to reach the marriage venue at Gauchar rapidly.

Though it’s true that nobody knows what unfortunate is waiting for them in the near future but in this case it was the lack of sleep that resulted in this huge tragedy. After reaching Roorkie driving the entire night Sunil Gusain with his wife and two sons below 14 years took Anita sister in law and her son in the car and continued driving instead of taking some rest/ sleep. When they reached Rishikesh they preferred to avoid the traffic jam and continued the early morning trip as during noon or say at 10.00 AM onwards Badrinath Rishikesh Marg near Shivpuri there is tremendous rush.

Since the owner of Thar who was driving himself could take rest the entire night continuing the driving incessantly feeling sleepy and took a nap in between while driving ultimately losing control suddenly and the THAR fell 300 metres down in Alaknanda with all dying and only Anita fortunate to be alive.

According the the police SHO of Devprayag Police station Mahipal Singh all those died could take chance to come out of the vehicle which dived down vertically as they were tied with seat belt.

Anita however saved herself as she was in the back seat and when the back door of the car opened automatically during the fall she climbed on the outer portion of the car saving herself with not even a scratch.

Such a dreaded tragedy has not been witnessed recently after a long gap in which the entire family has been wiped out and only a woman , the sister of the dead Mrs Gusain is safe who also lost her son. May the Almighty render peace to he departed souls and place at HIS pious feet. OM SHANTI.

The unfortunate dead are : Sunil Gusain son of Hoshiyaar Singh, Sainik Colony Faridabad, 44 years, Meena Gusain wife of Sunil Gusain, Sainik Colony Faridabad Haryana, Dhairya Gusain son, 14 years, son of Sunil Gusain, Sujal Gusain, 12 yrs old, son of Sunil Gusain, Aditya Negi son of Madan Gusain, 16 years resident of Durga Colony Roorkee Haridwar.
