The Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed two new general secretaries of All India Congress Committee namely the former chief minister of Chattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel giving him charge of Punjab and Sayyed Naseer Husain , incharge of Jammu Kashmir. Mr. Kharge also appointed new incharges of nine states and union territories. Smt.Rajni Patil has been given the charge of Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh , B.K.Hariprasad of Haryana and Harish Choudhary of Madhya Pradesh. Mr.Girish Chodankar has been appointed as the Incharge of Tamilnadu and Puducherry while K.Raju of Jharkhand. Mrs Meenakshi Natrajan has been given the charge of Telangana whereas Krishna Alluvata of Bihar State. Shri Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka has been made incharge of Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura and Nagaland. The president has taken away the responsibility from six outgoing general secretaries of AICC thanking them for their contributions also deciding them if general secretary ships. They are Deepak Babria, Mohan Prakash, Bharat Sinh Solanki, Rajiv Shukla, Dr. Ajay Kumar and Devendra Yadav. In 2027 Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Gujarat and Uttarakhand are going to polls.
