Kanhaiya Kumar files nomination from North East Lok Sabha constituency
The Congress candidate from North East Delhi Kanhaiya Kumar has today filed nomination papers. The polling Delhi of Delhi is slated for 25 May. Kanahiya Kumar is a joint Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance candidate. The Delhi minister Gopal Rai and former MLA and Delhi power n education minister Narendra Nath were present at the time of filing of nomination. Before filing of nomination papers Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar participated in a Hawan amid chanting of spritual hymns. He is pitted against the BJP’s sitting singer turned MP Manoj Tiwari. Today is the last day of filing nominations. The Congress MP Kanhaiya Kumar is contesting from Delhi for the first time against the two term MP Manoj Tiwari who has been repeated for the third time. He had contested as a CPI candidate from Begusarai in 2019 though lost against the BJP candidate but gave a good fight. Kanahiya Kumar joined Congress on 28 th September, 2021 at the initiative of former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. A dashing leader of JNU representing AISF, Kanhaiya Kumar had also been jailed over a political slogan shouting controversy in JNU campus earlier. He was in Communist Party of India earlier and is currently the Incharge of NSUI in Congress party. Before the filing of nomination papers he was blessed by leaders of different religions and presented a trophy as a mark of blessings.
